I have a client that wants call queue. They currently have a Partner II that is falling apart. They desperately want call queue. They have twenty four stations with Partner VS R4.0. I am going to use the Merlin Magix R4.0 Control Unit, Merlin Messaging R4.0 4 port. I need advise on what telephone sets and expansion module to use. Should I go with the 408 GS/LS/MLX module and MLX telephones or should I use the Magix 412 module and 4400 series telephones. Are the MLX sets two pair and the 4400 series telephones one pair. Is their and advantage or disadvantage between the two groups?

The MLX Sets can all work on 2 pair, EXCEPT for the MLX-20 if it uses a DSS Console.

There is a module available that allows re-use of the Partner phones, but I don't like them personally because the button lay-out changes and there are other differences that the users have a hard time getting used to.

The MAGIX TDL sets look 100% better than the old MLX ones, and if the client can afford it, those are what I would recommend.

Merlinman, thank you, I am going to push for the 4400 series telephones.
