I have created reports for five academic subjects: math, humanities, physics, foreign languages etc...They each run more or less the maximum length of a report (22 inches or so). Is there anyway to group all these reports into a master report? In other word, with the student name as an identifier, get all these reports to flow one after the other per student?

Thank you

Yes I am. Every subject has narrative sections (that require memo fields) plus specific fields. The math report alone is 3 pages long, and same for three of the four others. Per kid, each total report is approximately 15 pages. If I create a master report, and bound the other reports as sub reports, will I have a size issue?

Sorry for the delay in reply Duane. I am not sure I understand what you are inferring. I have five subjects, each 3 to 4 pages. I create an unbound master report, and create a sub report for each subject, correct? What do you mean by creating sections of the main report?

Thanks for clarifying.

D

You can create up to 10 group headers and footers. If your reporting doesn't work in a single section, I would bind the report to a single record for the student. Then add as many group sections as you need based on the primary key of the student table.

Thank you Duane,

I implemented your recommendation, and after a while to build the huge query (220 fields I believe) I created a report with 9 headers. The problem I am encountering is that parts of the 220 fields for Student A are actually showing information for student B. I don't understand how this is possible, but that is happening.

I have nothing in the detail section, nor in the report header, could that be a problem? I have created a master query based on the student ID (which is unique to each student), and then forced the one to one relation between student ID and nine different tables.

Please let me know why some of the fields (memo fields) are not working correctly if you can think of anything.

Thank you,

D.

If the data is wrong, I would copy the datasheet view of the record source and paste into Excel to evaluate.

I have no idea what you mean by "not working correctly".

Duane,

I worked out everything regarding the sub reports. Thank you very, very much for all your help.
