I am looking to create a master file that references multiple libraries. The reason for the multiple libraries, as opposed to putting all in one, is to keep the numbering system of each intact. Each library has a numbering system that starts with letters then has a five digit number; i.e. KP - 00001. The lettering is unique per library. The only interaction between the master and the others is an in/out check box. What might be the best solution for this? Thanks for any help.

Can you be a bit more specific about your 'libraries'? Are these files or what? Cheers,
Paul J.

I don't care if these "libraries" are in one file or in multiple, I just need a master file to use as a reference or window into all of the others. The reason for this is ultimately each library will have it's own set of labels and serial number series and each library will only purtain to one "product line" with the master acting just as a quick reference. The only interaction between the master and all of the others would be an In/Out status. Thanks for any help and sorry for the rambing.

In the master, set up a' Library Letter' field. There is a record for each separate library. The field contains the library letters. The individual library file(s) have a similar field.
Define a relationship from the Master to the library file(s) based on the 'Library Letter' field.
This is so simple, I am not sure I've read your p[roblem correctrly?
Cheers,
Paul J.
