Hi,
I have a switchboard with one button that I would only like to be made available to one person. I set the enable property to no. My question is: Is there a way to put an object on the form or create a spot that is set to visible false and when an event occurs the button prop will be set to enabled? I tried creating another button with visible = false but it wouldn't accept a click event.

Thanks alot..Russ

you could work with the button as "Transparent" instead, and yes you can enable or disable it depending on what event occurs.

If you are using security to login to this database, what you are trying to do would be fairly simple. On open of this form check to see if the currentuser is the one you want to see the button. If so then set the button's criteria to visible = true. If you just set the button to transparent you run the risk of someone accidently clicking it.
