Creating a grid/table in AWT

Hello Folks,

I am looking for a lighweight custom grid in AWT. I cannot use Swing and JTable. We also don't need to edit cells, just show data in tabular format and be able to scroll it vertically.

Any responses are greatly appreciated.

About JDK version - it is a good question. Frankly, I am not sure. I need to create an applet, so users should be able to view it without downloading any additional software. Can I use JDK 1.3?
