creating a flash marquee that alternates and is endless

My goal is to make a marquee with the words: "Great Stuff!".
What I want it to do is just keep coming on the screen from one side until it passes through and never ends. I want one line going right, and one going left, basically alternating marquees. The words are basically just repeating endlessly and heading two different directions.

I know this has to be done using actionscript but I need help with the code, I don't know how to do this and I need it for a personal project. I really appreciate any help here and I think it should be rather simple to do...

Does not sound like you need AS... just run through the tutorial that comes with Flash and you should be good to go...

Those are tickers, I appreciate the link, but it is different.

The text should remain the same, repeating only the key phrase, for instance "My text here" and let it continue overflowing off the page to the right, then alternates the next line to go off to the left, and so on until the page in completely full with lines going left and right.

Don't see why you can't adapt one of those scripts and make a fixed text marquee out of it, but if you insist...

I've seen this one and I am currently using it, but I cannot seem to duplicate the Y axis and get the reverse movement of the "marquee" style text movement working.

To make this more understandable, here is how it will look by theory:

These are words that will repeat endlessly(moving left)
These are words that will repeat endlessly(moving right)
These are words that will repeat endlessly(moving left)
These are words that will repeat endlessly(moving right)
These are words that will repeat endlessly(moving left)
These are words that will repeat endlessly(moving right)
These are words that will repeat endlessly(moving left)

[These phrases will fill the entire screen and never end, speed will also be controllable]

just use tweening... flash movies inately loop so it will be continuos...
