hi folks,
i am trying to create a form which has a push button... On clicking this push button i want to give the user the facility to create a table at that moment only..
(I thought of one thing, This can be done by starting the Visual Data Manager on clicking the push button .. But now the problem is how to start the Visual Data Manager from the push button )
If anybody knows how to do it Please do help me...........

Better to do the whole process in code. Start with the concept of creating a tabledef object and then including the fields and properties of the table def, I usually set up a table with the info re the table and fields and a seperate one for the indicies, but it can be done interactively from a form. I, personally, have never had a group of users with the ability to do this -and not create more trouble than it saved-, so I cannot recommend it (at least not for general release). After all, if they are able to think their wat through the process of creating meaningful tables on the fly, couldn't they just as well creeate their own databases? Just let them link to your existing tables (READ ONLY) and do what (ever) they please in their own dbs.
