Hello,

I have a DLL and I would like to create a DLL surrogate. I'm looking for clear and detailed instruction on how to do that.

Thank you,
Santhosh

You need to register your Dll as an out-of-process server.
It needs an AppID beneath its CLSID key which relates the coclass back to a key under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID. The surrogate into which the DLL shall be loaded is listed there as "DllSurrogate". If you leave this blank the default dllhost.exe will be used.

This is for DCOM. If you turn to COM+ you may simply change the Activation property of your COM+ application.
