I've installed programs that did this, so I know it can be done. Has anyone created either a program, or an install that created a DialUp Network Connection (DUN)? You know like when you install AOL, or AltaVista.

Thanks
Gary

I know many IP toolkits out there have DUN controls in order to do this. You could try You can find links here for all your control needs. Catalyst is my personal favorite, although there are others.

I'm using the ones made by Mabry.
I've called a few and they said their controls did not do it, but I'll try VBxtra.com

Thanks

I may be wrong, but you should only need to to create your .dun file and include this in your setup. Your application should then be able to run this connection file.

So how do you know which xxxxx.dun file is the right one? I think the answer is somewhere else. Maybe in the registry?

You will be writing the .dun file and giving it a name, so you can code this in to your application - you know which one will be the correct one - or am I missing your point??

Simon

I now have 3 DUN icons in my dial-up networking folder.
When I search for *.dun, I have 5.
Obeip.dun
icwx25a.dun
icwx25b.dun
icwx25c.dun
icwx25.dun

Which one is the good one, and where does it go???

Are your using the dun file through an application that you are writing, or are you going to rely on the user opening the connection??

I am using the dun file through an application.
