creating a datafile across a n/w how?

I need to create a datafile across a n/w having NT machines.
i tried to map the drive with full permissions still i am not able to create a datafile on some other machine. It says access denied. Could anybody help on this.
I want to have a datafile associated to a tablespace but i want the datafile to stay in some other m/c across a n/w since i have disk limits

I think that is quite risky. You must have oracle user on the other machine with same password and permissions.

But I still think that this is quite risky. You should consider an external disk drive instead.
