Creating a Custom Outlook Form to Sync w/Sharepoint

Here's the deal, I created a custom column in Sharepoint and want to add it to an Outlook form. Example, when posting a new discussion a user must fill in "a,b,c or d" in my custom column. I would like users to be able to do this within Outlook. Currently, if one were to post via Outlook, this column is not populated. Is this possible?
