Creating a custom modules disk?

I am trying to install Suse 7.0 from ftp.suse.com. My ethernet adapter is not supported but I have two modules that work. Does anyone know if it is possible to create your own modules disk?
Also, is there any way to run ifconfig and dhclient while booted off the Suse 7.0 boot disk? I need to do this to get an internet connection.
