I've gone through the Adobe Photoshop Help section, but I don't seem to be getting anywhere. I've got an image that I'm trying to add a pattern to. I have the pattern drawn out and saved on my harddrive. In the Adobe Help, it tells me to transfer it to my library... but I've no idea how to do that. I'm quite lost.
If anyone could be of help, I'd be very appreciatve. Thanks!

Hi,

Open the file that has your pattern on it. Then select all (Ctrl+A) then goto EDIT > DEFINE PATTERN give it a name. Now you have saved it to the library.

Then to access it, simply open your other image and goto EDIT > FILL choose pattern from the dropdown and then choose the actual pattern from the second dropdown and hit ok. Now you have applied your pattern. The will apply the pattern to the whole canvas and to limit where it is applied simply create a marquee area and then do the fill command.

Hope this helps!

Hi Dbthefox
Heres the easy way
Step 1 open the image that is going to be the pattern in photoshop.
Step 2 go to edit-define pattern (it will ask for a a name.)
This will place the pattern in what ever pattern palet you are using at tht time.
