Creating a colormap in truecolor mode

Hello,

i have the following problem:
i'm currently using an old home-made application written in C and interfaced with tcl/tk. The interface was written for PseudoColor visualClass (mainly using XAllocColorCells and XStoreColor); i'd like to change this for TrueColor visualclass.
I tried XAllocNamedColor, and it doesn't work.
This must be a silly problem, can someone help me ?
