Can anyone tell me the procedure for creating a Centervu Supervisor logon on cms?

This question belongs in the Avaya Definity forum: forum690.
What version of CMS are you using? Do you have admin authority in CMS?

I'm a novice administrator with virtually no documentation on this system. There is no indication of what version I am using. I also looked on the system and still could not find anything in the "help" area.

If you check HELP - ABOUT in the CentreVu software, it should give you the version number.

I have looked under "help" and there is no "about" field.

Here is a link to all of the CentreVu Supervisor documentation from Avaya:
Are you checking in the GUI interface or the Unix system for the version information?

Thank you for the link! I'm checking in the Unix system.

If you sign on with the root login, enter cmssvc at the # prompt, and choose option 1. This will give you the version information.

I handle about 99% of my admin tasks from the GUI interface and use the CMS Admin manual. For version 8, here's a direct link: .
Chapter 9 is the one you want to look at for creating new logon ID's.

If you're more comfortable in UNIX, check out - Chapter 3 (assigning customer passwords).

Also, check out the "Getting Started" manual ().

And come on over to the Avaya forum - Forum690.

Good luck!
