Creating 17 x 11 doc. from 2, 8.5 x 11's

I need help, I have 2 seperate documents that are 8.5 x 11, but I need to print one ledger document 17x11. I tried insert page, but I cant seem to get the documents side by side 17 x 11.

The best and cheapest way to place those pages side-by-side (impose them) on an 11x17-inch page in an originating application, then create your PDF.

If that's not feasible, there are a number of third-party plug-ins that work with Acraobat and can do it for you, but at additional cost.
