CreateToolhelp32Snapshot

I'm very new to MySql so please be patient with me...

I'm using windows NT and mysql-3.23.35-win.zip. After unzip the files I am try to execute the winmysqladmin file from the bin directory. I am getting the following error message - - - -

The procedure entry point CreateToolhelp32Snapshot could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.DLL.


Anyone got any ideas why the error is happening

According to this documentation:

That function isn't available on Windows NT. Only W2K and newer and W98 and newer.

It might be included in some Service Pack or hotfix. Are your patches current? ______________________________________________________________________

thanks - not sure if my patches are current or not....

Anyone know of a patch that can remedy this problem?

I do not -- but then all my MySQL experience is on the Linux side of the house. I'm going to bow out.
