Hi All,

we have plan to create 2 voicemail pro server running as primary and secondary, in order when server A down, the system automatic goes to server B.
Server A = Primary = 192.168.1.11
Sever B = Secondary = 192.168.2.22

I try to set above as this link https://www.ipofficeassistance.com/how-do-i-set-up-voicemail-pro-failover-on-server-edition/

set in IPO -->system -->voicemail done with primary and secondary address as above.
but no luck.

any new concept how to build this scenario are welcome.
thanks

What version? Is it on application server or windows server? Check that the smtp ports are open on both server.
Your best friends are logs and debug view. Enable logging and paste it here

I tried this last year on a system and it would not work properly.

It would fail over to secondary correctly.
The secondary SSA showed it failing over but voicemail showed as None.therefore would not work
You can actually watch it happen live if you open SSA for the 2 systems voicemail tabs

The only way it started to work correctly was to power down the Primary server.
The secondary then kicked in correctly and worked.

Powered up the Primary and it reverted back OK.

After that when I disconnected the LAN connection I had no problems and it failed over correctly every time.

Oh by the way you do need to have at least 1 IP PHONE on each system for failover to trigger.
It doesn’t work otherwise.
It uses the phone registration to trigger the fail over.
You can watch this on Monitor and SSA ALARMS
