Create transparent button over a videoplayer

Hi,

I receive from a multisplit video signal that I played through mediaplayer.
The multisplit video signal are composed by 9 video inputs.
Now I need to split by 9 zone the videoplayer.
Each zone must be able if I click with my mouse to do some actions.

For my first analyse, I would like to put 9 transparent buttons over the videoplayer but when I do this the videoplayer stay and the button disapeer.

Can you suggest me any solutions ?

What are you using to make the buttons? Are you doing this via programatically?
