create tabs

I am trying to create tabs across the top of a page. Does anyone have any suggesstions that do not include simply using images?
I am not very good at using style sheets so I would appreciate any help!! Thanks!

You can use an unordered list and style the list items to appear as tabs. There is also a technique called "sliding doors" that allows nicely styled tabs. Check out this link:
