I'm sure this is a really basic newbie question, but I need to be able to write stored procedures and my current user account does not have permission. Right now the only way I can write or access them is as sa and I really really don't want to do that. We do not have a DBA so I need to do this myself.

I've been googling and looking around here and I must be using the wrong words because all I find is how to give access to specific stored proceedures.

I'm hoping this can be done through Management Studio, since I'm new to this I'm really nervous about doing things when I can't see everything.

Thank you in advance.
