Create shortcut

I'd like to be able to give people who visit my website the option to place a link to the site on their desktop. Technically what I want to have is just a button on my web page that says "Click here to add shortcut to desktop" and when a user clicks on it it adds a shortcut to my webpage on their desktop. How would I go about doing this?
