Create Sequential Notes with Date

This may have been mentioned on this board before but I couldn't find it in my searching. I am trying to create a button script that will add the current date and then move to an adjacent field to allow for free text entry. Then, when the button is pressed again will do the same but keep adding new fields for the date and free text. As the number of fields increase, a scroll bar becomes functional. The most current note is always added to the top. Here is an example:

I am just getting my feet wet with FMP7 and am still trying to learn and improve my scripting skills. Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you set up the creation of the record through a relationship/portal, sorted on date, you can do this.
