Hello-

I'd like to have a hotspot on my default navigator that will create a Response document to the main document that is selected in the current view.

Currently, the hotspot's formula is the simple
@Command([Compose];"Response");
But that is giving me the "No document is selected..." error.

There is definitely a Main document highlighted, and it is not a category, there is no twistie.

What am I missing here?

Thanks.

The bartender asks, "What's with the big pause?

Just to be sure, your default "navigator" is your Notes client ? You are referring to the Folders view, or you are referring to a browser ?

A "Navigator" I've created.

In the Notes Client, not the Web.

You've created a frameset, and the button is in one of the frames, right ?
The problem with frames is that they take the focus. So when you click an object in them, it's the object that has the focus. That is why you get the error message. When you click the button, the document is no longer the focus.
It is best to keep actions on documents in the view of the documents (use view actions). Keep the "navigator" for changing views or general actions like creating new main documents.
