Hello everyone, I want to create a website that will have multiple username and password protected areas for multiple users.

What I mean is, I want to create say three different information only, not chat, areas of a website. Each area will be unique. Say, one for New York, one for New Jersey and one for Pennsylvania.

I want users in those three states to login and to be able to see only the areas in which they are. Like, New York people to login and see only the New York section of the website, etc..

I know this will be involved and I'm not afraid to learn a whole new programming language, so even if any one can point me in the right direction, i.e. programming language or tutorial or book that will explain what I need to do.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Andrew

Is it running Apache web server? If so, there's lots of experts here who should be able to help you :) I know it's something to do with the .htaccess file - check on the Apache web site for documentation on this.
