CREATE ODBC CONNECTION BY CODE

Does anyone kow how to create a new connection of ODBC by code of sybase SQL adaptive server 5.5 without installing the sybase on the client machine??

If you connect using function SQLDriverConnect, you do not need a connection inside ODBC.

Thanks for the reply, I want to ask you a little more about the thing that you informed me. But before maybe I should give you more details about my needs.

My Software (VB6) is connected to a Sybase Adaptive server anywhere database which the engine is run on the server. The client machine to have access to the database, I must install on the computer the Sybase program and then create a new ODBC connection, which the driver I Currently installed, and then setup the configuration of my connection.

My demand is:
I want a minimal installation of the sybase program to be included in my software setup + atomatic configuration of the created odbc conenction (By code).

your reply is greatly appreciated.
