Create new MS Access DB with DTS?

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if it's possible to use DTS to create a new ms access database before transfering data to that access db? I need to move a table from sql server to ms access every day and droping and recreating that table in ms access bloats the access file. In order to keep the access file small I have to manually compact and repair it, not something I want to be doing.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Not too familiar with Access, but is it possible to just empty the Access table prior to load ? Would it help or not, I don't know.

Also in the transform data task's Workflow properties, on Options tab, see that you have Close connection on completion checked on.
