I am new to Visual Studio 2008 (Professional) and I have a finished program that I am trying to publish. The one-click publishing thing works fine, but I want more control over the install (I want the program in Program Files, not the weird long path it goes in now, I want to give the user options for desktop shortcuts, i don't want the program to automatically launch after install, etc.)

I cannot for the life of me find any publish settings that allow me to use Windows MSI or customize the install process in any way. Am I blind? Is it not here?

Is there a good tutorial somewhere doing this in VS 2008?

Thanks to both of you. This is not as intuitive as I had imagined. :-/
