Hello all..

Windows server 2003 server/domain
VMware EsX 3.5 latest release.

I am setting up VMware server ESX and need to attach to a windows file system to access ISOs for VM installs.
There seems to be a means for doing this inside of the VMware console but it complains about a Mount Point not being available on the windows box.
Apparently I need to create a Mount point on my server and am unsure as to how to do this. All documentation seems to point to mounting a volume but all I want to mount is a simple folder that holds some ISO's.
Is there a simple way to do this?
Not to diss on Vmware but I have a Xen server set up that mapped to a CIFS share in about 5 seconds. Not sure why this is so difficult in Vmware… ?

It is easier to copy the ISO's to your VM environment with WinSCP or the VMWare VC that is extra, but has this capability built in to make copying easy.

Here is the VM way:
mount -t smbfs -o username=,password= //Servername/share /foldername

Thanks for the quick reply TechMcSe2k

I will follow up with that link.
