Hi,

I want to be able to create a MS Access application executable. It seems that MS Office Pro can't do this.
I seem to need MS Access 'Developer Edition'.

I don't want to buy 'MS Office MAX PLUS £2000 BECAUSE IT'S CALLED MAX PLUS' or whatever, I want a MS Access upgrade to allow me to legally produce applications for distribution - as .exe's.

Gates has got this licensing crap well worked out - ppl buy it ALL - 'cos they haven't got a clue how to get the portion that they want!

Can someone cut through the jargon and point me to the cheapest product name / upgrade to enable me to do this?

Many thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Darrylle

Never argue with an idiot, he'll bring you down to his level - then beat you with experience.

You can create an MDE with Office Pro. However this is different from an application executable (i.e. it's not an EXE file).

Developer Edition lets you create a version distributable to people without Access thanks to the Access runtime version. However this is different from an application executable too.

Neither of these is equivalent to an application exectuable - if you want a standalone EXE you need, in my view, to look beyond Access. Visual Studio perhaps?

For me, you can't, dot.
