Anybody know of a way to create a link that when clicked will not navigate to a file but will instead prompt the user to save the file? I have a page with links to some PDF files but don't want to view them online, just save them locally.

Thanks in advance

Mark

Maybe my system is different, but when I click on a .pdg, there's already a button in Acrobat Reader to the left that says "save as copy." Can't get too much simpler than that.

You misunderstand the request.

I have a web page that links to PDF files. When viewed in IE I don't want the user to have to right click to select SaveAs. I also don't want the user to view the PDF from within IE. I want them to save it locally.

I am looking to make the hyperlink prompt to save the file when clicked.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
