How can I create a hidden partition? Do I require a specialist app (eg partition magic) or can I create it manually in DOS/windows? I want to store ghost images of individual XP Pro computers on a hidden partition at the local computer. The hidden partition will give me a bit more security.

Create hidden partitions

You need a special application. Partitiion Magic can handle the chore.
All that is done is to add 10Hex to the ID byte for the partition in two places. (You also need a handy way to reverse the change). Windows will not recognize partition IDS > 10Hex.
