Is it possible to create Project Gantt charts programmatically?

Microsoft did :)

(almost) Anything is possible really... just a matter of cost.

If you just like to show bars representing time for a number of tasks then that can be done fairly easy with some programming knowledge.

I did something similiar in excel with data I produce in access.

You'd basically need data that has
Task
Start Date
Finish Date

Then you could programatically fill the cells for each column in a given row where The heading time values fall between the start and finish date.

Your question makes little sense.

If you mean how do you create a Gantt chart and have the data developed from the Gantt chart to populate the rows and columns in the "spreadsheet" ... well, that makes about as much sense as asking Excel to start with a Graph and develop the underlying information.

If you mean ... how do you enter data and cause Project to automatically create a Gantt chart then tell us where the data are coming from.

A SQL Server db.
