Hi
I have done a standard install and when i run divvy command it shows me the file stats.

Now i want to create a /stage and /u01 can any one advise me as when i run mkfs -h htfs it appears not to work.

Also as where can i find the network config file as on hpux it lies under /etc/rc.config.d/netconf and this has the ip + net mask.

Thanks for the help

When you did the install you should used the interactive fdisk/divvy choice rather than the standard install which allows a /u only. Ed Fair

Hi , i am not sure of what are you trying to do but let me try.

The following this will only work if you have available disk space otherwise

For example you have a hard disk of 20 GB and you install the SCO on only one partition with 8 GB , and you want to use the rest of the disk for other two filesystems.

1. run fdisk and add other two unix partitions
this will create two device file on /dev with name

/dev/dsk/0s2 and /dev/rdsk/0s2 for the second partition
/dev/dsk/0s3 and /dev/rdsk/0s3 for the third partition

2. run mkfs -f HTFS /dev/dsk/0s2
mkfs -f HTFS /dev/dsk/0s3

3. and now run mkdev fs and add the two new filesystems and mount them under the directory that you wish.

Othe way is if you have a big /u file system and wants to use that space for two new filesystems with other names , first make a backup of you data and using mkdev fs remove the /u filesystem and then with divvy delete the /u device , configure the new two one filesystems and thats all.

i hope this can help !!!
