Create files with different ending 2

Hi,

I have thousand files like these two bellow

BMS_AT01_20040225_080404.log
BMS_AT01_20040225_120424.log

I need to create an empty rdy for each file to process with work.
An example of the needed file
BMS_AT01_20040225_120424.rdy

Who can help?

for l in *.log; do
touch `basename $l .log`.rdy
done
