create drop down calendar

I saw some of those sites, especially sites that sell plane tickets that if you click an icon next to the text box for date, a drop down calendar will appear. The drop down calendar also gives you the ability to move back and forth in different month of the year. My question is, how do I do that? If anyone would point me to the right direction that would be fine too.

You would put the calendar into a layer and hide or show based on the click. There are various calendars available. Search google for "javascript calendar" or "DHTML Calendar" and you'll see 50,000 results or so.
