Hi there,

i have numbers of host names , they are all using one ip address, (using apache)

is there a way i could create a "access.log" for each web site i'm running ? if yes, how , or tell where to get resources,

the reason is , i'm trying to monitor ( statistics ) for each web site on its own, since the log file mixes all the web site runing together,

Thanks for your help

Some people like to keep all the logs in the same place but use the vhost name in the log names. I like to create a logs directory where the host's html and cgi-bin directories are. This way, the owners of each website can access their own logs. What you want reported in the logs and where you want them is up to you. If you use different directories for the logs, you must make sure they exist or apache will not start. You must also restart apache to get it to create the new logs.
