Create db table with Visual Interdev

I want to create a new table (& modify existing ones) in an existing database with Visual Interdev and all the documentation that I can find tells me that I can't do this. It's been awhile since I've used it, but VID is the only Development tool that I have used and I'm sure I'm done this before. I have an existing database that I have added tables to in the past. I can connect to this database within VID but as read only.
