Create custom OCX using OSMS for Ensemble Pro

I would like to create a custom app that would allow a collector in preview mode to know if they have an inbound call if they are on the phone. I have the OSMS API document but I don't see a good starting point example.

I would like to write in C++ but I think I can work my way through VB.

If anyone has done anything like this I would like to hear from you.
