Hi All,

Can anyone help me with how to create a cube in transformer using SQL 2005 as database. Do i need to create an iqd from it and then import as data source or is there any other way.
Please help

Thanks

I normally would use impromptu to create an IQD and feed into transformer, however, where a customer didn't want the expense of Impromptu I created a number of views in SQL and then created SQL DTS scripts to dump these results to CSV files and used these as the data sources to the transformer model, still perfer the Impromptu method but the above works.

Additionally you can also create an Access link table to SQL db and use Access as the data source

Cheers

Thanks for your response.

I will try the IQD way.
