Create catalog from SQL View 1

Hi All, can I create a cognos catalog on a SQL view?

You can ADD as SQL view to a catalog.

Thanks griffindm but how can I do it?

When i specified the database and click ok, all i see are the list of tables but not the views?

Go to "Tools - Options" in the menu. Uncheck the box "Retrieve database tables when editing catalog tables". Then go to "Catalog - Tables" in the menu. Press on the "Retrieve Tables" button that has appeared. Then check the boxes to allow views (or synonyms for that matter) in the catalog.
