I am trying to automate the process of printing a PDF file for a quote and emailing it to a customer. I figured out how to do the mail portion, but I would like to create the PDF behind the scenes and add it as an attachment to the message. I have seen posts on sending keystrokes for PDF creation, but was hoping there was a cleaner method. I am using Paradox 8 and Acrobat 6.0 Professional.

Get PDF 995.

It is $9.95, and installs as a printer.

You select it to print to, and away you go.

With a little bit of work, you can even set the name and location of the pdf in objectPal just before printing. Everything in pdf995 can be controlled thru its .ini file.

Acrobat doesn't even come into the picture, unless you want to use it instead of pdf995. For the $, I'd go with the easier and cleaner pdf995 (and do; I also own acrobat).

pdf995 is available at
