Hi,

I have a database where I have some numbers taken from an application that is running.
I need to send every day the new numbers by e-mail.
My question is if it's possible make a query that exports automatically every day the new records into a text file.

Thanks in advance.

davidmcolaco,
you should be able to do this but it may require many steps.
you would have to put your query in a macro, open the db with the /x command line argument to run your macro (perhaps from a scheduled task?) - or use an autoexec macro (but this will run everytime the db is opened). you will then need to email your file - blat if you want to do it automatically?
regards,
longhair

The part of e-mailing the file it's already made.
My question is how to do that query on a macro and then how can I run it with /x command.

How can I do that?

Regards,

David

davidmcolaco,
from access help:
Startup command-line options
/x macro Starts Microsoft Access and runs the specified macro. Another way to run a macro when you open a database is to use an AutoExec macro.
for the macro:
in the action box choose 'open query'
in the query name box select your query.
regards,
longhair
