I have a jpg file and a second jpg that is the transparency mask of the first.

I want to create a png file from these two, with an alpha channel.

Can anyone help me ?

Select everything (CTRL+A)in the second (mask) JPG, copy, then open the second JPG, and, in the Channels palette make a new channel; paste into the new channel.

If you want transparency in the PNG...

First make sure that the background is a layer - ALT+DOUBLE CLICK on the Background layer.
Then CTRL+ClICK on the new alpha channel thumbnail, this will create a selection of the Alpha channel. Go back to the layers palette, selcet the layer and delete the pixels covered by the selection.

Moe: It could have been a real ugly situation, but luckily I managed to shoot him in the spine.
