Hi
Is it possible to write a query that returns an alert to the users desktop if a condition is not met ie, if a safety stock falls below a predetermined level.
Could this query be automaticaly run every 30 mins or so in the background and alert only when Condition is not met.

Not in ANSI SQL... Read your DBMS documentation to see if your specific product has that type of functionality.
