Create a TDM 40T phone with or without a PIN

Good morning all,

I am creating/programming TDM 40T phones and I am getting conflicting advice at work.

One person tells me to ALWAYS make sure the the phone you are creating has a PIN so that when you activate (*736) the phone you will not have a problem.

Another person is telling me that I DONT need to create a TDM 40 T phone with a PIN.
Once it has a PEN it will be ok.


Which one is correct?

What is the best way to create a phone?

You do not need to add a PIN when you add the phone. 4K does not care.

If you want to sign on, sign off, PIN ON on a different device, then you will need a PIN. So if you later find you want to do these things, you can then add a PIN, it's not a problem.
