Create a prompt box with drop down

Hi

I'm new to java but I am trying to put inside a function the ability to create a prompt with a dropdown box of defined options and then use that to open a link (i.e. select a report name and then open it). This is within another application and is a button link to redirect the user. I can't change the current page that is being viewed.
