Is it possible to create a parameter in a main report that will suppress a subreport based on a yes or no answer?

Any Help on this will be Great!

Stephen

Hi Stephen

Create the parameter eg {?Suppress} as a boolean.

Right click the Subreport, select 'Format Subreport', on the Common tab click on the x2 button beside 'Suppress' and type: {?Suppress} = True

Cheers
Pete

Not sure I understand Stephen.

If it is simply a matter of suppressing the subreport based on the parameter, there is no need to do anything in the record selection - the conditional subreport supression is all you would need.

Did you try the conditional suppression approach I suggested? If it doesn't give the result you are looking for, please describe what happened and why it isn't what you are trying to achieve (bearing in mind you will need to use the actual name of your parameter).

Regards
Pete

Thanks Pete.

I had the parameter name incorrect.

It now works.
I had no idea it would be this simple.

:)

I've been working on this for 2 months on 5 different forums and no one could help me.
Or perhaps I was over-explaining what I was trying to achieve.

Sweeeet.
