Create a Messenger passport

Some time ago I installed Messenger with a @MSN.com passport, I only want to use it for chat, voice, and web cam but not email.
Now I have just created a logon for my wife and she wants the same but the install wants me to create a hotmail account.
Can’t this be done anymore?

Just a guess, but try typing "Control Userpasswords2" in the Start Run box. Click on Advanced in the resulting windows and look at the .Net Passport Wizard and see if that can be used to do what you are trying to achieve.
