I need to be able to edit and create jobs on SQL 2000. I was in the SysAdmin role but was removed! What is the security needed for me to have this functionality back without being in the sysadmin role.

There is a role within MSDB database called TargetServerRole who members can view job information etc without making changes. This role in itself does not have access, but I have in a few forum's seen people granting execute on sp_add_jb, sp_update_job etc to this role. Not something I have tried. I would advise to test in development before any production changes.
